Prepping the area: Before the scratch can be repaired and painted over, the area must be a smooth base layer that occurs by our technicians sanding down with an abrasive to smooth out the area ready for repair. Depending on the level of damage, some deep scratch repairs may require body filler then sanding to create this smooth area.
Matching and painting the area: Matching the paint is done by using a Clear Over Base System, a 2 Pak Mix using Debeer Paints, a high quality automotive paint. Our technicians are fully equipped with the required paint system in their mobile vans ready to mix to your vehicles colour code on the spot.
Applying the paint: The technician uses a compressed air gun. The area is first sprayed with a primer to improve the paint adhesion to the car. Once the primer is applied the paint is then loaded into the gun and the technician then carefully sprays layers of paint over the area and blends this into your cars original paintwork – leaving your car with an unnoticeable repair!
Final paint stage: The final step in the paint repair process is to spray the area with a clear-coat protective layer. This gives the underlying paint area a barrier and helps maximize the shine of the new paint.
